You try to imagine a lot of people walk and buy a daily product as vegetable ,fish , squid and fresh seafood and grocery product near a railway area .After they listen Train whistle,they stop shopping and a local merchant will move their products a little bit for avoid the train pass through to Maeklong Station , only waiting for a few minutes they move their product back to the same position . The customer start to shopping and everything come to an ordinary activity again.

Talad-Rom-Hoob ( ตลาดร่มหุบ ) or the closed canopy Market is a normal local daily market in Samutsongkram ( Or Meaklong ) where a lot of local merchants who supply a daily product , seafood ,seasonings and more.This market located near Mae Klong Railway Station . There are the daily trip from Bangkok ( Wong Wien Yai Railway Station ) to Samut Songkram ( Mea Klong Railway Station ) .This is an important route for a merchant who delivery their product between Bangkok and Samutsongkhram . Most of product are seafood ,and consumer product .

This is the charm of Talad-Rom-hoob ,it happen from the unity of merchant , customer and train driver . Because of a friendly lifestyle of Thai people plus dependence and hospitality together ,so Thai social is offer ,donation , forgive and helping . Only a slowly drive with a careful of a Train Driver and the beware and understand of merchants and customer ,both of them can do their activity in the same place and same time that base on offering and forgive .

Not only talad rom hoob is a interesting sightseeing in Samut Songkram but there are a lot sightseeing as Ampawa – a famous floating market ,Wat bang kung ,The hidden Church in the tree– The unseen THAILAND ,the sacred floating Buddha image – Lung Por Wat Ban Leam ,Don Hoi Lord – a seafood restaurant and market and More !

The first time we saw a big billboard on Rama 2 Road to promote the annual Fair of ( Wat ) Krok Krak Temple ( วัดโกรกกราก )  ,the spectacular photo is the Buddha image wearing the sun glasses .Wow ! and why ? . So we should head to wat krok krak immediately because there are more traffic sign for direct to Wat Krok Krak . It’s easy to visit there.

Wat kork Krak is located along Tha Jeen river at Samutsakorn or Mahachai area.This temple has created more than 200 years olds and there is the holy buddha that most respect of the Mahachai people and they call the holy Buddha is “ Lung Por Poo” .

Why Luang Por Poo have to wear the glasses ? Because in the history as a long time ,there are conjunctivitis outbreak at Mahachai area,and the villager didn’t know how to heal or treat this case.So they pray that if they can treat the conjunctivitis or this outbreak disappear ,they will be gild Laung Por Poo at the eyes with a high respect.After that their pray was come true. It is a miracle ,all villages back to strong again ,nobody infect conjunctivitis. So all villagers gild with a small piece of golden sheet at the eyes of Buddha image with a respect .Many people need to gilded at the Luang Por Poo’s eyes,so this is a clever trick of big dean of Wat Krok Krak .By giving the glasses to Luang Por Poo for protect gilded at only the eyes.And this is a reason that the Buddha image wears the glasses .

The size of Golden Buddha is 3 metres hight , 5.5 tonnes weight.The golden Buddha was created in Sukhothai period and stay at Wat Mahatat in Sukhothai empire .Because of the expansion of other empire ,people would like to hide the golden Buddha from the enemy ,so they have a trick to prime with a nature black lacqure and cover with plaster on this golden Buddha.Until this golden Buddha was invited to stay at Wat trimit and there was an accident when we move this golden Buddha ,the string to hang was broken .And the cover plaster was crack then people can found the something inside .

This is a real golden Buddha image and a special key for split to 9 pieces that was a clever design of easy to split – move – compose the largest golden Buddha image .

Thai people is very respect the golden Buddha. There are many people visit Wat Traimit everyday .And now there is a big project to build a beautiful phra maha mondop where a splendid shrine for highly revered Buddha image .Now it’s nearly to finish and you can be the one who joint for contribute to donate Phra Maha Modop at Wat Trimit . This is the one of unseen Thailand ” Church in the tree ” .This temple was build since Krung Sri Ayuthaya ( more than 200 years ) .There are long history at this temple that recored in Ayuthaya War .We call this area “Kai Bang Kung ” mean Soldier resident at Bang Kung . One place is important that the old church where the local area has many respect ” Lung Phor Dum ” ( image of Buddha ). A special of this temple that there are many big trees brass this church.You cannot see the structure of this church ,you can see only door and windows .That’s look natural church .Inside this church you will find the important Buddha image that most respect of people .We recommend Don’t miss to visit ” Church in the Trees ” at Samut Song kram .

The Sanctuary of truth  ( ปราสาทสัจธรรม ) or “Prasart Sajchatham” was build since 1981 , but this castle is not complete now because there are many detail of carving part and this is  a very big wooden carving castle .Their plan will finish next 15 year , This castle is decorate by handicraft carving with the skillful sculptors and this castle locate on beach so there are the corrosion effect at somewhere in  this castle from air-sea humidity . They have to build  the next area and repair somewhere in the same time . The Sanctuary of truth was established by Mr.Lek Viriyaphan,who  was also created “Ancient City” and “three headed Elephant ArtMuseum” at Samut Prakarn province.

The Sunctuary of truth is present the wonderful Art & Culture as the reflection Eastern Philosophy , Ancient Knowledge and vision of Earth that show ancient life style  , human responsibility ,basic thought ,cycle of living , life relationship with Universe and common goal of life toward Utopia  .There are four wings to show  the wonderful carving wooden on different styles : Hindu , Khmer , Chinese and Thai.

This is the amazing for a traveler who drive on Kaset-Nawamin Road that lacate near Satriwittaya 2 School (โรงเรียน สตรีวิทยา 2 ). There is a sunflower field ( ทุ่งทานตะวัน ) that grow againt the sunshine . Many people park their vehicles for visit and photo because it’s very beautiful view .A lot of photographer meet this sunflower field and they take a lot photos .Although this field is not too big but it can make a lot of family groups  can joint to  take many photos with boys , girls , and parents with happy smile . It’s look a happy sunflower field in Bangkok . There is no charge . We don’t know who is the owner ,but we have to appreciate them for crate a happy sunflower filed to many people . We have to say “Thank you very much”. We need not to go far for meet the sunflower . 

Normally  it will have an annual sunflower Field tour  about November – January near Pasak Chonlasit Dam in Saraburi and Lopburi  that far from Bangkok about 160 Kilometres . It’s popular tour program to touch the natural sunflower field .Because there are a lot of area which plant sunflower ,you will see a wide yellow sunflower land around the you so far that you can see .You can absorb a natural of flower and  mountain  .

We recommend you ,Don’t miss to visit and photo this Sunflower filed if you have the opportunity to pass on Kaset Navamin Road .It’s around  Ladpraw – Chokchai 4 area .  Sometimes we will see a cosmos flower ,it looks like a small sunflower , in this field .It looks nice and you can feel fresh by automatic. It will be change depend on the season.

 

Oh! I will tell you Sunflower ,we call in Thai language is TAN-TA-WAN .
