Samutprakarn ( สมุทรปราการ ) is the interesting province near Bangkok .Sometimes we call Samutprakarn is “ PAK-NAM ( ปากน้ำ )“ ,because this city has a lot of canals and there are the end of Chaophraya river that go to Thai Gulf Sea . Bangpoo – the one popular sightseeing in Samutprakarn . For Thai Language “Bang” mean city or town and “Poo” mean Crab ,so the meaning of Bangpoo is city of crab or area of crab .Because Bangpoo has a long beach along Thai gulf with a plenty of natural wetland ,mangrove forest and small fish & crab .But it’s a mud beach no golden sand .
And today Bangpoo is the famous sightseeing that most family appoint for lunch and dinner ,it’s good view atmosphere and sunset. The popular sightseeing that we recommend you to visit is Quatermaster General’s Department of Royal Thai Army restaurant .
Before you reach the restaurant ,you will find a long pier or sometimes we call Sukta bridge .Along this bridge visitors can walk , sit and feed bird food .Most people like to photo group of friend and family with the seagull .
Seagull is a one of highlight there ,they fly from Thibet and Mongolia in November and leave at Bangpoo about 5 Month .They will be fly back in May ,this is a natural of them .You can see and feed the seagull about 4.00 PM .There is a small kios to service a bird food on the bridge .
