The classic sticky rice roasted in a bamboo joint and Thai people call “ Khao Larm ” Khao larm made from glutinous rice that stream within Bamboo joint.
Have you ever taste Khoa Larm ?
It’s very delicious ,a taste is soft , sweet ,good smell from natural membrane of bamboo. Khoa larm is the one of the popular souvenir of Thai traveler for give their friends , and family . Many Provinces in Thailand is a specialist for sticky rice bamboo streamer as Nong Mon – Chonburi , Prapathom chedi – Nakornpatom,Chachengsao,Nakornnayok,etc.
How do they cook sticky rice bamboo ?
This is an original process to cook Khaolarm .The First step : To prepare a fresh & clean bamboo joint , soak glutinous about 6 hrs , fresh coconut milk , dry coconut husk that wrap by banana leaf for a cap to close end of bamboo ,some salt & sugar ,not forget a oven to roast bamboos.
After prepare all in above then go to The second step : To mix coconut milk with some salt and sugar for good mellow tasted flavored and put soak sticky rice in bamboo .To pour a mix flavor coconut milk by high over soak sticky rice a little bit and close by a nature cap ( coconut husk warp by banana leaf )
The third step : To put all bamboo that contain from second step on the oven then roast about 1-2 hr . Now we can get a delicious Khao Larm.
To look easy but more tricks to cook Khao Larm for good taste .
